Why we built this

In the three years since the US Inflation Reduction Act and the EU Critical Raw Materials Act, every major industrial economy has legislated a critical-minerals diversification mandate. The procurement reality on the buyer's desk did not catch up: PDFs from a dozen mining ministries in nine languages, certifications buried in annual reports, capacity figures three years out of date, and the constant pull of sanctions and tariff updates breaking term contracts overnight.

Bloomberg, Argus and Fastmarkets do an excellent job at commodity prices. CRU and Roskill publish thoughtful reports. Consulting firms build slide decks. None of them put a living, queryable, audit-grade supplier database into the procurement team's daily workflow. We are building exactly that.

Principles

• Provenance over polish

  Every record cites its source. We would rather show a clunky raw filing than synthesise something that cannot be audited.

• Coverage over cherry-picking

  We do not curate a 'best suppliers' list. We surface what exists, with the signals — certifications, ownership, capacity, risk — that let the customer decide.

• Customer-first, not investor-first

  We are not VC-funded. Our cohort growth is paced by analyst desk capacity, not by quarterly board pressure. Every customer gets a named analyst contact.
